Thanks for all that helped me solving (and learn a little more) this...

Please find below what I've done

Thanks,
Marcus Uerlings

=============================================================
Late (pretty late...) in the night I've found solution.....

And as allways... the answer was in the MANuals.. (man gpl)
Thank God it's *nix!!!

For any unknown reason /dev/gplctl wasn't present at /dev/ directory.
I've created as mkfifo -m 660 /dev/gplcnt (hope this is correct)
gpm manual calls this a socket..

Also, another file is mentioned, /dev/gpldata (also missing in my /dev),
and the manual calls it a FIFO that is used when you start gpm with -R parm
when in X.
I've created it with mkfifo -m 660 /dev/gpldata, too

I'm not using -R parm in gpm, so I don't know if this correct.
I'll try soon...

Many thanks for your help!!!
Kindly regards from Brazil,
Marcus Uerlings
