I'm a very experienced user.. I've been using computers for about 14 Years
now, I've used everything from the first Dos, Windows and Os/2, to the
latest version of those operating system, I know how to configure them to do
what I want, So when I ask this question don't answer back, This will take
forever or only Advanced users should try this or Just install it from one
of the Distributors.. Because I know what I'm doing, and I know it will take
awhile...

I've got a Pentium II System that I don't really use anymore and I want to
start installing Linux onto it.. However I want to install Linux From
Scratch, From the Beginning, I don't want to use any version that have been
put out by Caldera, Redhat, Suse, or anybody else.. Right now I have a clean
system HDD has been Zero'ed out and she is ready to except for installation
of linux..

If I can get the kernal installed and a shell installed onto my HDD and can
boot to it then I think I can get everything else up and running. I just
need some documentation on the first part of this install..

Thanks for the Help

I remember back when I was using RH6.2, when you moved windows around, it
would show you the cordinates of its position, ie 367 X 52. When I
installed Helix, i think this feature disappeared, and it isn't present in
RH7. Anyone know how to turn this feature back on, if that's possible? I'm
trying to use it so I can configure SawFIsh's matched windows to place
windows where I want them. Thanks.
