Well - I've got the linksys lne100tx as well - not sure which version. It
uses the 'tulip' driver. Try "modprobe tulip" - I'm remoted into my
machine and the connection is slow, so can't really step through the entire
network setup process. As long as the tulip driver is either compiled into
the kernel or loaded as a module, the your card will work - network setup
is an entirely different thing - and a thing that should be posted to
comp.os.linux.networking?
Let me know how it turns out or if you need more help.

If you post your /etc/lilo.conf file, perhaps you will get an answer.

And 200MB is fine .. I have a debian cut down to 8MB for

Go with debian or slackware for minimal installations of about 40MB.

Bootit NG can resize NTFS. It's a boot manager and partitioning program.
It's shareware, but it's fully functional for 30 days on a trial basis.
To just use the partitioning capability (without installing the program
to the hard drive), make the install floppy, boot from it, cancel Setup,
and enter Maintenance mode. From there, choosing the Partition Work icon
will give you access to the partitioning tools - including resizing.

I set my bios pnp OS = NO and AUTO assign irq to pci slots for my
Linksys pci card. I did not have to supply irq/io values in linuxconf.
No compiles for the card or kernel on Mandrake 7.x and 8.0 (YMMV)

Subject: USB ISDN modem, help!
Date: Sun, 20 May 2001 20:41:26 +0200
I have a version of a Draytek miniVigor128 USB ISDN "modem." The Draytek
site has a driver for it in the form of an rpm. I got the rpm to install,
but when I try to load the supposed driver that was installed
(lib/modules/draytek/m128) I get a message that it was compiled for kernel
2.4.0 and I am running 2.4.3-20mdksmp (which is right). Then when I do
modprobe -a I get a message saying "Can't locate module
/lib/modules/draytek/m128," though it shows up when I do an ls.
The device is found at boot and listed in proc/bus/usb/devices, with
"driver=(none)" next to it.
Any ideas?
My system is running dual PII 400s, with as I mentioned Mandrake8, kernel
2.4.3-20mdksmp.
Thanks wholeheartedly for any help!

I really appreciate it if anyone can help me on this

Sounds like IRQ trouble. Try 'scanpci' and see if it lists your nic. Mine
shows "Lite-On LC82C115 PNIC II 10/100BaseTX" ...do you see anything like
that.
Also, you might try 'dmesg | less' to get a look at your boot-up messages.
See if your card is being detected.
Bit Twister's advice above seems good - I've had to do that in the past to
get other hardware working.
Let us know how it comes out or if you need more help.

Hi,
Yeah....you said that you have 2 partitions? Well, when you get to that
screen that displays your two partitions (you are using the graphical
installation....rh 6.0 has that...right?) you must select or click on the
partition that you want to install linux on. Not really sure what comes
next, so i'll give a little explanation.
The entire linux filesystem that will reside on your hard drive needs a
'mount point' i.e. "/" . It'll create a filesystem subordinate to that
directory. In some of the older distros, you had to select a partition, if
you didn't have empty space, and it would ask you what to use as a 'mount
point' - at which most people would type '/'.
Another thing that may be causing trouble is that you have 1 primary
partition - /dev/hda1, and one logical partition - /dev/hda5 (which resides
*within* and extended partition). If /dev/hda5 is where you intend to
install linux, might just be easier to delete /dev/hda5 and whatever the
extended partition is and add a primary partition (maybe 2....one for
/swap).
Take a look at the partition howto at:
http://www.linux.com/howto/mini/Partition/index.html
