Berdasarkan Bootdisk-HOWTO, munculnya LI karena masalah sbb :
LI The first stage boot loader was able to load the second stage
boot loader, but has failed to execute it. This can either be
caused by a geometry mismatch or by moving /boot/boot.b without
running the map installer.
Jadi kelihatannya, System.map tidak disertakan dalam file /etc/lilo.conf,
atau geometri harddisknya dirubah lagi dari BIOS (misalnya dari LBA
ke LARGE atau ke CHS)

loadlin adalah sebuah 'program' under DOS, dengan file bernama LOADLIN.EXE
yang dapat memuat kernel Linux (biasanya bernama VMLINUZ), sehingga dari
prompt DOS dapat booting ke Linux.
