Installing GNOME
You will need to install all of the RPMs in the appropriate directory. for
your architecture (i386, alpha, sparc). This can be done with the
install-gnome command:
./install-gnome
This will install the GNOME desktop onto your RH 5.2 system. Now you will
need to edit the way X11 comes up on your system. This is usually done with
a .xinitrc, .xsession, or a .Xclients file in your home directory. Determine
which of these is being run on your computer before proceeding. If you have
just installed RH 5.2 and none of these files exist in your home directory
(try 'ls -a' in your home directory), you can just create a .xinitrc from
scratch.

Yah, sewaktu saya jalanin : ./install-gnome ---> muncul:
bash:./install-gnome:permission denied
install-gnome ---> muncul: bash:
install-gnome: command not found
Kayaknya install-gnome memang merupakan script karena memang tertulis
#!/bin/sh pada baris pertama, lalu pada scriptnya saya lihat ada
keterangannya bahwa script ini dijalankan untuk menginstall gnome.
Tapi gimana yah!!??
Saya juga pengen tanya. Kenapa kalo kita login selain sebagai root kita
tidak bisa menggunakan:
shutdown -r now atau shutdown -h now
Kalo saya login sebagai user (hylman), lalu saya ketikkan perintah:
shutdown -r now atau shutdown -h now
maka muncul --> bash: shutdown: command not found.
Kok bisa yah ????
