Seperti namanya, ppp-compress itu bukan ppp-nya sendiri. BSD
compression otomatis jadi module, no matter what you do.
Documentation/networking/net-modules.txt. Note that, no matter what
you do, the BSD compression code (used to compress the IP packets
sent over the serial line; has to be supported at the other end as
well) will always be compiled as a module; it is called bsd_comp.o
and will show up in the directory modules once you have said "make
modules".
Biasanya setelah konek akan keluar tulisan spt ini di
/var/log/messages:
PPP BSD Compression module registered
PPP Deflate Compression module registered
local IP address a.b.c.d
remote IP address x.y.z.w
BSD-Compress (15/12) compression enabled
Baris terakhir hanya akan keluar kalo compressionnya disupport oleh
ISP, kalo nggak keluar ya berarti nggak disupport.
