kalo dari setting di inetd.conf udah betul,
bisa ditampilin error message nya kayak apa ?..
bisa juga karena bermasalah di inetnya...
check : ps -ef | grep inet
coba direstart inetnya : /etc/rc.d/init.d/inet restart
atau : /etc/rc.d/init.d/inet reload
check Ulang : ps -ef | grep inet
coba lagi talknya....
