Thanks best regards RUDY ;=== Because your scanner has USB interface, below are some suggestions I could offer to you. I've never had chance to test USB scanner yet, but these steps are the most general : 1) Please check whether your kernel has installed 'Preliminary USB device filesystem' or not : $ cat /proc/bus/usb/devices If its content is displayed in screen then your kernel has had it. If not, please reconfigure your kernel by select 'Preliminary USB device filesystem' under USB support. 2) Please check whether your scanner is listed at http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/ or http://www.mostang.com/sane 3) Please read Linux USB Guide which you can get at Linux USB website at www.linux-usb.org or its Indonesian translation at website http://retambunan.freewebsite.com/USBLinuxGuide-Id.htm I wish these could help you and please send your result back to this milist so others could learn from it. In the meantime, I'm writing a practical guide to set up linux to accept USB peripheral. I hope to finish it a.s.p...:) Best Regard, RE Tambunan -- Utk berhenti langganan, kirim email ke [EMAIL PROTECTED] Dapatkan FAQ milis dg mengirim email kosong ke [EMAIL PROTECTED] Informasi arsip di http://www.linux.or.id/milis.php3
