Rekans, Saya sudah upgrade kernel RH 7.3 (2.4.18-3) ke 2.4.20..dan sudah lakukan : make dep; make clean; make modules;make modules_install; terakhir make bzImage. Lalu file bzImage saya copy ke direktori /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20 plus file System.map kernel baru.... karena saya pake lilo, saya edit lilo.conf : image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20 read-only root=/dev/hda2 PS : lilo.conf sebelumnya itu ada initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.18-13.img, sedangkan setelah instalasi kernel baru saya tidak memperoleh file initrd nya... Pertanyaan saya : 1. digunakan utk apa initrd itu ? 2. bagaimana cara memperoleh initrd dari kernel 2.4.20 ? Terima kasih, Deded
