dear all, kemaren saya coba install RH9 di harddisk SATA 120GB. ternyata RH nggak bisa mengenali HD nya, warningnya spt ini: no hard drives have been found.
trus stl cari info, saya dptkan spt ini: following scenario to work for RH9.0? (1) begin the install process with a PARALLEL ATA drive, (2) next (if possible) build a bootable image on the SATA drive, (3) take away the PATA drive, so the system can boot from the SATA drive? You should be able to do this. It would require building a vanilla 2.4.21 kernel. The next version release of Red Hat will have support for this. Following the every 6 month release cycle for RHL (now RHLP), that would place it around October. The current beta includes the 2.4.21 kernel. saat mengikuti cara di atas dg memasang HD biasa, keluar warning spt ini: the partition table on /dev/hda is inconsistent ... the BIOS geometry should be 827/64/63 (not 207/255/63). sampai di sini, saya tdk lanjutkan installasinya. krn saya takut juga kalau SW di harddisk SATA yg telah diinstall bisa ke ganggu (soalnya udah install byk aplikasi;). adakah yg punya pengalaman menginstall di harddisk SATA dg rancangan spt ini: 10 GB: winXP (fat32) 10 GB: win2003 (fat32) 30 GB: RH9 (ext3) 70 GB: data (fat32) pls advise @rs-,-'-- -- Berhenti langganan: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Arsip dan info: http://linux.or.id/milis.php FAQ: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
