With the Intel/Linux solution, you win with raw CPU cycles and price but
lose *big time* on cache size, memory bandwidth, and I/O.  It's just the
opposite with the O200 (win on cache, memory, I/O, lose on CPU cycles,
price).  If your problem is memory bound and you have a time-critical
application it's probably worth the money to pay for the O200 box.  If
it's CPU bound then the Intel/Linux solution is more economically 
sensible.
