I have a GIGABYTE 586DX mainboard with two 233MMX Pentium. I have tried to get it to work with kernel versions between 2.1.118 and 2.1.131. With all of them I have the following problem: If I set MAKE to 'make -j2' in the Makefile for the kernel and then try to compile it, the 2nd CPU hangs and the date shows the same time (stopped). This also happens if I stress the system with lots of other IO (KDE visual schnauzer on a directory with lots of pics) using xosview I noticed the part with the 2nd CPU. Is this a configuration problem on my side, crappy hardware or a kernel bug??? What further info do I need to send to make this userful??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. M. Wozny P.S.
