I have a very annoying problem on my 2x333 PII machine.

I live in Denver and the timezone is MST. While the time gets set
correctly at boot and date reports it correctly it shows up wrong in top

and in Netscape Messanger (These are just two instances where I've
noticed it).

The time reported by top and the "received/sent" timesatmp set by NS
Messanger is of by 7 hrs, corresponding to GMT!!!!

For example:

[alenkei@everest:~]>date
Mon Jan 18 11:19:22 MST 1999

top shows:

  6:19pm  up 15:19h,  0 users,  load average: 1.16, 1.35, 1.26
49 processes: 46 sleeping, 3 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped
CPU states: 109.6% user, 10.2% system, 0.0% nice, 0.0% idle
Mem:  126968K av, 123760K used,   3208K free,  49308K shrd,   2848K buff

Swap: 128484K av,  28468K used, 100016K free             28584K cached

As you can see I don't use UTC time.
[alenkei@everest:~]>more /etc/sysconfig/clock
UTC=false
ARC=false

Does anyone on this list have any idea how this can be? Where does top
get the time from?
Any help would be greatly apreciated.

/Andrei
