We just built a machine with this at work and have it up, but haven't
stressed it out yet. We're using it with the onboard 7890 with a single 9
GB cheeta drive and it seems ok, it was a bit of a pain to use a
distribution to get it up though. We were using Debian 2.0 disks (kernel
2.0.34) which didn't have the 7890 supported. So we stuck a IDE drive it
to do the install, downloaded the 2.0.36 kernel source (which has the
updated AIC7xxx driver which supports the 7890), built it SMP and
tweaked, made a installer floppy out of it, then pulled the IDE and
installed onto the SCSI.
We're still using a boot floppy, I haven't figured out how to get it to
boot off the SCSI yet, but I have a sneaking suspicion that this is due to
my ignorance and not a BIOS limitation :).
