I have a Gigabyte 686DLX. It shipped with bios 1.20, which is now
available on the gigabyte website. This fixes the one CPU
problem. Having said this I still get and error message saying perhaps
i have a faulty bios when I boot up, so perhaps Gigabyte doesn't
really deserve to be in the boards 'without' problems.

Personally I'd like to see a manufacturers who worked with the SMP linux
users rewarded by having their board listed as problem free. Boards
that are know to be bad, reported as such, and other boards, listed as
reported working by various users.

I actually didn't check the SMP faq before purchasing an SMP board as
I didn't know of it's existance. In general I place a great deal of
weight in the recommendations of the online community as reported in
FAQs, newsgroups and mailing lists.
