Dunno.  I should; I think it was discussed on this list a year or two
back, but I forget so fast...;-).  I don't THINK that it makes any
difference -- I think that what makes a difference is striping swap
(files or partitions) on scsi disks so a bit of the read/write process
can be parallelized and use more of the available bandwidth.  However,
I install swapspace simply for luck -- I >>never<< (willingly) permit
our systems to be run into it -- so I can't say I've ever had the
opportunity to tell the difference.
