Has anyone here used the ide-tape drivers with an SMP kernel (2.1.115+)? I've been having some problems using several different backup programs with the driver, all apparantly failing in the same way, yet on a different system (non-SMP) it works fine, with the same setup. I'm trying to isolate the problem to something I can fix. (The actual problem is pretty simple: most operations work fine, but a backup-to-tape will run for quite some time, yet always freeze eventually.) -- Matthew Hunter ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
