I use 2.1.125 on my computer that is a SMP system. I have problem with a server that uses 2.0.35. Donald Becker told me that the network card would not get interrupts (DEC 21142) but nobody till now could help me. I personally would like to try a newer development kernel on the system and see if it works better. The server has two PII 400, two NCR 895 SCSI controller, a DEC 21142 network card. The server is used as a news server/mail server and for programming classes in college. I would like to ask if someone has a similar server and good experience with a dev. kernel. I have no problems on my system with 2.1.125 but I would like to have the opinion from someone else too.
