Intel has got a decent OD support forum, and you could probably find an
answer there re: your Tyan board. I found out that my Compaq workstation
can't take the chip due to heat sink clearance problems.

Intel just says that they don't support it in >dual configurations; it may
or may not work. I think that they'd rather have those who need quad
configurations switch to Xeon boxes, while maintaining their promise that
they would, in fact, produce an OD for PPro boxes.
