In addition to the interrupt delivery problems (the other thread) I
noticed this last night:

Nov 9 23:00:38 defiant kernel: Do you have a strange power saving mode enabled?
I can answer the question with a clear yes, because all APM things are
disabled in BIOS. The computer runs fine just now, it does not hang after
the message. So this might not be a problem...
