I've been running an ALR quad-p6 for almost a year now and have had
flawless success with this box.  I'm now looking at quad xeon machines,
again primarily for parallel algorithm development (Crafty, other
things).  I've found someone that can put me a quad xeon/450mhz/512kb
cache machine using the Intel motherboard, which I think Linus said
he was using.  Anybody have any comments on this machine, ie memory
speed, etc???  the price quoted was $11,000 for a 512mb machine with
a single 9 gig disk...
