I'm looking for any reports on the web regarding the performance of a dual PII machine while performing SMTP/web/file serving/database/ftp services. I am trying to convince a prospective client that a dual PII 300, SCSI disks, and 256MB of RAM will be able to handle their customer load, and I want to have something more substantive than, "This machine is really, really fast." Anything showing how well Linux SMP scales to large numbers of users would be greatly helpful. Could anyone point me to any such resource on the web? I would really appreciate it.
