oddly, it's listed as $8k from Compaq in units of 1K. adding around
$2k of ram and peripherals seems to bring the cost up to $20K at microway...
does anyone have a 264 yet? I'd very much like to hear about sustained
dram bandwidth. the marketing nonsense claims 2.6 GB/s, which is clearly
wrong, since it assumes single-cycle transfers (32B wide, 83 MHz).
I'm expecting more like 1 GB/s measured by Stream, which is still a heck
of a lot faster than the ~400 MB/s peak from current x86's...
