I am currently looking for a Ultra Wide SCSI to replace the
advansys ISA care that is currently in my machine. The Diamond
Fireport 40 looks like a good card, but I dont know how it will
work in SMP Linux. Does anyone have any suggestions ?
I realy dont want to spend the money for a adeptec card, and the
bus logics look slow on the benchmarks I have seen. any thoughts
any other card that I could get in the sub $100 range that would
work
here is my config
Dual P 133 on Tyan Tomcat III
4 Gig UW SCSI
2 GIG UW SCSI
2 GIG SCSI II
1.8 Gig EIDE
80 Meg EIDE (for web page, not accessed much)
2x SCSI II CD-ROM
Intel EEplus 100
generic PCI VGA
128 EDO non ECC
This computer is being used as a Quake server, IRC server, E-mail
server, etc... The tipical load is like .02 .00 .00 very low, not
many users currently, but it is growing.....
Thanks
