Hi Hans-Joachim,
I use the same board and I am quite happy, no problems until now.
Here is my configuration:
Suse-Linux 6.0
Kernel 2.2.1 SMP
Board Gigabyte GA-6BXD
192 MByte Ram
Dual Celeron 300A@450MHz
Noname pci NE2000 card
Noname Symbios 53c875 based UW controller
with 2* 9 GByte IBM DDRS U2W
Noname Symbios 53c810 based SCSI II controller
with CD-Rom, Tape-Streamer, CD-Writer and 4 GByte Quantum Atlas II U-SCSI
disk
sometimes a small 850 MByte Seagate IDE drive is used as a removable drive
(works fine with ide compiled as a module)

I did not try kernel > 2.2.1 until now but I am going to swith to 2.2.5 the
next days.

Bye
Norbert
