Hi guys! I'm looking for some advice. Our IT department is going to buy us a development server for me to put Linux onto. They are determined to go with a Hardware RAID solution and a multiprocessor motherboard. I would be _very_ grateful if any of you could advise me on hardware that is very definately supported and working robustly. (Thinking of using RH5.2 and maybe putting a 2.4 kernel on). I'm looking for bits that Linux will happily work with without any extra downloading/compiling etc (ie. during first install) So what are your suggestions for a - dual proc motherboard - RAID controller (preferably something we could get from Compaq/DELL?) Your help would be Greatly appreciated Oliver Conduit Communications Ltd - Linux SMP list: FIRST see FAQ at http://www.irisa.fr/prive/mentre/smp-faq/ To Unsubscribe: send "unsubscribe linux-smp" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
