The reason I asked was that I'm currently debugging an SMP box which is
supposed to run Samba here at my company. With a Redhat 6 it crashed
when I tried to do a Netbench benchmark on it. I finally installed a
redhat 5.2 on it with a 2.0.36-3 kernel and it runs smooth and is solid
as a rock. So far I'll stick with 5.2 and 2.0.36-3 , but I'll keep
debugging the next couple of days....
Have anyone had these problems ?? Here's the HW setup:
Dual P2-350 Mhz
256 MB RAM
4 x WD Ultra2 LVD SCSI disks ( 3 of them in RAID-5)
best regards
