AFAIK, there are currently no drivers for the PERC/2 controllers, although I hear the drivers may be in the works at Dell (might be a good idea trying to contact them about it). I currently use SMP with a Dell Poweredge that has the PERC controllers installed, and it works very well with 2-way SMP, although the SCSI bandwidth with the PERC controllers is a lot smaller. Makes it kind of hard to sell Linux if there are no drivers for it. :-( I've been able to detect and install the PERC controller using both Red Hat 5.2 and Debian 2.1 or better. (Debian 2.0 doesn't work). Ben - Linux SMP list: FIRST see FAQ at http://www.irisa.fr/prive/mentre/smp-faq/ To Unsubscribe: send "unsubscribe linux-smp" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
