First I just thought that I would say it is interesting that
your CPU1 is the booting processor as opposed to CPU0, and that
CPU1 boots CPU0 (mine boots CPU0 first then CPU1, but that is
really irrelevant as the numbers are assigned by the
manufacturer).
There have been a number of emails (read more than a dozen) that
have flown thru this list with the same message
"WARNING: unexpected IO-APIC, please mail
to [EMAIL PROTECTED]"
1) If someone has an idea of what is going on here, maybe this
could be entered in the SMP FAQ at somepoint, as I'd love to
know.
2) Are any of you haveing problems with your systems?
If so:
My only suggestion is to check there BIOS settings. Look in your
BIOS manuals (you did keep this right?) to see if it mentions
any setting for chipset features and such.
My guess is that you have bought a SMP system that has not been
tested with Linux and the OS kernel is not sure how to handle
your MB so it enable the APIC's per default and th eMB is not on
the white list or black list (see
linux/Documentation/SMP.txt)???
just my 2 cents... and yes I could be wrong
