Not sure if this is any help to people hunting the smp / X / mouse bug
but I have had problems on my machine (2xP2 333, X 3.3.3.1, G200, PS/2 and
serial mouse but only serial for X) on the 2.2 series.
Being the dangerously curious type I now run 2.3.6-ac1 (not even I am daft
enough to run a "dangerous" dev kernel) and all mouse problems have gone
(/me knocks on wood)
Just another little tipbit.
