If you are using health monitoring wrt to the CPU fans 1 and 2,
verifiy that you reverse the fan connectors.  I have observed that
fan RPM's in the BIOS mismatch.

The above is incorrect, based upon imperical data.
The correct, wrt to first BIOS release, connection scheme should be

      fan1 fan2
CPU2 CPU1

Second, in order to boot the HPT366 or (ide3/ide4 as marked on the
mainboard) pair, one is required to issue "pci-reverse".  Otherwise, the
PIIX4 will render hda-hdd.
