I have a PCI 100MB/s ethernet card from DLINK, and when using the
via-rhine driver, I get:
eth0: Something Wicked happened: 000a or 0009
My guess is this means that my network card doesn't work well with SMP.
(When in uniprocessor, it works fine.) It has done this both on a dual
Pentium Pro and a dual Celeron system. So the question is:
Can it be made to work right (ie, every time the error occurs, the network
niccups), or if not, what is a good network card to get for SMP? As a
student, price will be an issue. Thanks,
Thomas Dickson
