Could you try the 2.3.21 kernel briefly? It has more verbose APIC error
logging (and a more robust APIC architecture as well) - it could be hw
problem, or some of the fixes might need backporting. IPI timeouts usually
mean that a CPU is stuck (locked up) - these will be automatically
debugged on 2.3.21 as well with the NMI oopser.
