I'm looking for an x86 platform that can hold at least 2GB of RAM.
SMP and SCSI are of secondary importance.

1) Intel Sitka SC450NX has 16 memory slots but requires
outdated EDO RAMs.

2) Other motherboard, based on 440GX chipset, have max. 4 slots
for 512MB SDRAMs (which are probably rare and expensive).
I've checked Tyan S1952DLU Thunder-X and Asus XG-DLS boards

Any suggestions, recommendations, experience ... would be
appreciated.
