I was browsing Dell's website today and found a rather attractive
"Workstation". Looks like a very nice machine, an example config:
        Dual PIII-733 (coppermines)
        768 MB PC800 RDRAM (@400 Mhz)
        32 MB 3d card
Dual 18 GB Ultra 160/M 10k rpm drives
        on board ethernet
        $7700 $USA.

Anyone know if linux works on the new i840 motherboards? I've
heard that rambus can handle 4 outstanding memory busses per channel
(the i840 has 2 memory channels/banks). Sounds like a big improvement
over the standard x86-xmp motherboards which can only handle a single
outstanding memory request.

Dell's has offered linux on their previous workstations but
I don't see any mention on the i840. Anyone heard anything or even
better tried linux on an i840 based system?
