basically, all motherboards work with Linux; some peripherals on some
boards might not work fully (obscure sound chips, etc). some exotic
boards with multiple PCIs, etc might give trouble with old kernels (2.2).
further, there's nothing special about PIII/800's: they look the same as
other PIII's (of the same FSB) to the motherboard. or are you
worried about supplying enough current?
any board-geek site, like www.anandtech.com will have links to vendor sites.
