I have a Gigabyte GA6-BXDS which I updated to version 2.4 of the BIOS and I
have no issues with Linux or stability. This is the latest and was released
last year, I have not seen any W2K versions of the BIOS ?
The only gotcha is doing the upgrade with one CPU in the board, when you
reboot the default is for the fan stall warning to be on, if you have no
second CPU, and hence no fan, it will warble as you reboot which is a little
alarming !, you just need to set the fan warning off in the BIOS.
Regards
Paul
