I have a 4 CPU Pentium-90 ALR that I'm trying to get running SMP. With the default 2.2.12-20 RedHat kernel, it tries to start the other 3 CPUs but reports that it can't. It then crashes. I tried pre-2.3.49 #1 on it and I got the following messages... 1. 2. 3. Asserting INIT. Deasserting INIT. #startup loops: 0 After startup. Before callout 1. After callout 1. --freeze-- Any suggestions on things to check out or where to start figuring this out? The same machine ran NT 4.0 fine...
