Excuse me for being ignorant, but what do I do
to add "pci=peer" at the boot prompt. Is that in
my lilo.conf file or at the lilo prompt ?

i had a similar sounding problem with my box. i have 8 pci slots and
the newer kernels weren't finding all my equipment. try adding
pci=peer at the boot prompt.
