How about using the "From:" address?
And in combination with the "CC:" address of course. In this case
I'm using the rudimentary "mail" program to answer this message.
If I use "r" to answer it will answer just to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
which is the "From:" address. If I instead "R" it will reply to
both "[EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]" because this message
was sent "From: john" "To: riel" and it will still be CC'ed to
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]".

I'm a member of a lot of mailing lists and there is no problem with
this list. The "Reply-To:" address, which you suggest is merely an
exception field, to use when the "From:" address should not be
used for reply. It seems as your Kmail software is buggy. (I don't
know that program)
