Forgot to send this to SMP again...........DOH!
You know, a better mirror is in Europe. I got "stalled" when trying to download from that site, but when I used a European (me thinks Germany, hence .de) mirror, it downloaded flawlessly. Didn't notice the QQ2, but then, that could be what I have ;-) It works, that's all i care about. The LP was stable, but according to the upgrade for NJ, LP didn't support 40GB hard-drives. SO.......upgrade when necessary! Everything is working well now, on the last step (after figuring out that the How-To didn't tell me everything......it suggests monkeying with fstab so it will boot, however, when I removed the drive, it was a bad idea......will add clear, precise instructions on http://unix.mine.nu within the week). Kudos to those who helped me out. I think the hardest part was that craptastic Abit NJ bios. Must have a problem with memory > 256 MB.........or something. -Andy Richard Torkar wrote: > AFAIK the latest bios is the QQ2 bios for BP6. > > Check their ftp: > ftp://ftp.abit.com.tw/pub/beta/bp6/bios > *Me* thinks that it is the right ftp adress... > > /Richard > --- > 1024D/E09C3CD1 1999-10-28 Richard Torkar (LINUX) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Key fingerprint = EFCB 8ECD FA90 4B05 E1E9 8D40 12B6 CD63 E09C 3CD1 > > On Sat, 11 Mar 2000, Andrew J.
