Here is a snippet from my lilo.conf file:

boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=75
vga=normal

other=/dev/hda1
  label=win2k
  table=/dev/hda

image=/boot/bzImage
  label=linux
  root=/dev/hdb7
  read-only
  append = "mem=128M"

I have a BP6 motherboard and this gets me my full amount of RAM.
