Hi all,

I'm even trying to get Linux runnig on an old Intel Xpress-Server with EISA
Architecture and dual Pentium 66.
I had no problems with installation, but while booting the system the kernel
panics with " IO-APIC - timer doesn't work!". Beforehand there are several
different messages on the screen:

        Total of 2 processors activated
enabling symmetric IO mode .... done.
        ENABLING IO-APIC IRQs
no explicit IRQ entries, using default mptable
...changing IO-APIC physical APIC ID to 2...
        init IO_APIC IRQs
        IO-APIC pin 2, 13 not connected.
..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO_APIC
...trying to set up timer as ExtINT ... failed.
...trying to set up timer as BP IRQ... failed.

Can anyone tell me, if the system is supported by linux-SMP and what options
do I need to get the system running ?

many thanks
