Hi
I have a new hp kayak XU800 smp machine that refuses to run correctly.
I have unable to attain stability with any of the linux kernels
2.2.[14,15,16] and 2.3.99-preX.
My machine panics under I/O load possibly due to VM pressure. Also,
setiathome will predictably panic the box.
This machine is 840 based with 256M of SDRAM.
Also in addition to the unexpected IO-APIC warning I see PCI messages
with kernel 2.3.99

With the 2.2 series kernels I see
