Hi Can anybody tell me what part of the kernel or program loader is responsible for setting the location of the application stack? I've noticed that on one of my machines all application stacks are starting at about 0x80000000. I had the impression that Linux stacks start at 0xC0000000. After checking a bunch of other machines, I found that only the one machine has stacks starting at 0x80000000. This machine is SMP running 2.2.14, the other machines are either 2.2.12 SMP or the late 2.3.x SMP series. thanks - Linux SMP list: FIRST see FAQ at http://www.irisa.fr/prive/dmentre/smp-howto/ To Unsubscribe: send "unsubscribe linux-smp" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
