Hi all, After spending the better part of this afternoon searching for a definitive answer, I thought I'd try this list. I've got an old Olivetti SNX400 server with two Pentium 100s in it. RedHat 6.2 runs fine on it, and I compiled a SMP kernel, but the machine doesn't detect a SMP board. After checking mailing list archives, I found some threads related to a similar machine, in whihc Alan Cox said that that particular architecture isn't supported. Bu,t searching on deja I found a kernel patch in the 2.3 series which mentions my specific architecture. Does anyone here know for sure? Or should I just upgrade to something more bleeding-edge and give it a whirl?
