I'm a newby for linux world..
Excuse me if my english isn't well or right but I speack Italian so ..
I've the following pb.
I've got an ess1868 audio board.
I've installed it under linux redhat 5.2 and I can't get it working corrrecty.
My really pb is:
The audio board is recognized by the system via isapnp and the modules are
loaded by
conf.modules. The audio is initialized and I can hear some little sounds but
every time I try to play a large .wav or .mp3 or .mid the system start
playing sounds but
just I move my mouse the system hang up :( and I'm obblidged to reboot :| ????
i've tryd to change irq,dma,io etc... but nothing ...
I've got an AMD k6-2 3Dnow! 300 Mhz on a Via chipsheted MB
64 Mb ram
I've disabled the internal sound board aboard the Mb. (i'VE ALSO TRYED TO
USE IT BUT WITH THE SAME PB.S)
hELP PLEASE i'VE TRYED SO MANY THINGS and get confused but no result's
Remember in yours replay I'm newby so please be more clearfull you can. ;)
