Currently only mp3 input is supported. Of course you can
encode the edited files back to mp3 manually, but this is a bit
laboursome... Does anyone on the list happen to know, whether
any of the freeware mp3 encoders support reading from standard
input?

Well it's still unreleased. I'm currently doing a major
rewrite, so it may take some time. But as there seems
to be some interest, I'll try put together a web site for it.
