you might wish to check out the alsa-drivers at
http://www.alsa-project.org.
they are a little tricky to install, but once you've accomplished
that they work great.
there is a related mailing list.
be sure to check the archives on that server - some pci 128 issues
have already been discussed.
btw: alsa is to replace the oss-drivers in one of the next major
kernel releases.
