Yes... the SBPCI512 uses the same chipset as the Live!. Therefore it uses the same driver and has the same bugs as the Live!. If you've already decided to stay away from the SB Live!, then you should stay away from the PCI512. Althoug... I'm using a PCI512 and I really don't have too many complaints. The MIDI doesn't work on it, but I make my music with real instruments, so it doesn't bother me at all. -Paco
